Our New Patient Acupuncture session focuses on your primary concerns which can vary from pain management, mental health, digestive concerns, and other acute or chronic conditions.
Our new patients will fill out the new patient forms followed by in-depth review of your health history, primary concerns and overall health goals.
We will go over a treatment plan and healing expectation. You will then rest with the needles retained for 15-25 minutes, allowing time for your body to relax and heal. Other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, tui na, electro-stimulation, hot patches, warming cream may be utilized to enhance the treatment.

Our Follow Up Acupuncture sessions are shorter in duration. These sessions begins with a brief intake and follow up evaluation. You will then rest with the needles retained for 15-25 minutes, allowing time for your body to relax and heal. Other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, tui na, electro-stimulation, hot patches, warming cream may be utilized to enhance the treatment.

Our Cupping sessions are applied to promote blood circulation for the reduction of pain and inflammation and help with treating upper respiratory condition. Cupping styles vary depending on the need. We utilized plastic cupping, moving cupping and fire cupping depending on individual need and concerns. The cups are retained between 10-20 minutes or until the desired results are achieved.

We will require a picture of the front and back of your insurance card as well as the Date of Birth of the subscriber in order to verify Eligibility and Benefits. If your insurance is not verified by the first initial appointment, the New Patient Acupuncture fee will be subject to be paid in full. Once verification and reimbursement is received, you will be credited for the initial fee paid as refund or credit. Please note that eligibility is not guarantee of payment, if the insurance claim is denied, patient will be subject to Non-Insurance Pricing.

What to Expect
Before your Treatment
Please have a light meal or snack prior to your appointment, avoid coming to your appointment with an empty stomach.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, especially on areas of pain or discomfort. Towels will be provided if needed.
During your Treatment
We will start by reviewing your symptoms, medical history and prognosis.
Once the needles are placed, we will begin a breathing exercise and the needle will be retained between 15-25 minutes.
A call buzzer will be provided and encourage to use if you feel any discomfort at any time.
After your Treatment
Additional treatment modality may be applied as needed.
We will complete a post treatment evaluation and discuss follow up plan and self care recommendations.

Eric Liu is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of California specializing in pain management, digestive health, motor vehicle related injuries, and orthopedic style acupuncture. He is proficient in orthopedic needling, cupping, moxibustion, tui na, gua sha, electric stimulation, Chinese herbal prescription, and educating the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine to patients using Eastern/Western medical theory and modalities.
